This word search printable collection has five themes: Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, fall and winter. Each theme has eight word-search bookmarks with a picture to color and ten full-page puzzles from easy to hard. Every puzzle has an answer key and comes as a free PDF for US Letter or A4. How to do a word search?
Start with the word list and hunt for one word at a time in the grid. Look for its first letter, then check the letters around it in each direction the puzzle allows. Easy puzzles and the bookmarks run across and down only. Circle each word when you find it.

Printable children's word search puzzles
The easy puzzles in each theme run across and down only, so children from about age 6 can solve them once they read short words. The word-search bookmarks are made for a child of six or seven too, with a picture to color and a small grid of seven words.
Hard word search printable for older kids and adults
Each theme has hard pages too. On the Halloween, fall and winter pages the hard puzzles use a 16 by 16 grid and hide eighteen words in every direction, backwards too. They suit older kids and adults. The medium puzzles sit in between, with diagonals.
Christmas word search printable
The Christmas set has eight word-search bookmarks with a holiday picture to color and ten full-page puzzles from easy to hard. Print one for the kids' table, or the whole set as a booklet for a long car ride. Every puzzle has an answer key.
Word search printable PDF files
Each puzzle is a PDF with the puzzle on page 1 and the answer key on page 2, so you can print page 1 only and keep the answers. The word-search bookmarks come four to a sheet with cut marks. Cardstock of about 176 gsm makes sturdy bookmarks.

Which puzzle suits which age?
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, across and down) work from about age 6, when children can read short words. Medium puzzles (13 by 13 with diagonals) suit ages 8 to 11, and hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction) are for older kids and adults.
Are the answers included?
Every PDF includes an answer key on page 2, with the puzzle on page 1. Each word is shaded where it hides, so you can print page 1 only and keep the answers for yourself.
