Fall and autumn are the same season, so the autumn word search puzzles are right here. The bookmarks are titled Falling Leaves, Apple Picking, Harvest Moon, Woodland Walk, Cozy Fall, Autumn Trees, Squirrel Snacks and Crisp Air. Each has an autumn picture to color at the top.
The bookmarks hide seven words each, such as leaf, maple and rake, or apple, basket and cider, or acorn, moss and deer. The easy pages have eight words, the medium pages twelve and the hard pages eighteen. One hard puzzle is called Why Leaves Change.
The three easy puzzles are Apple Orchard, Falling Leaves and Cozy Fall Day. Each uses a 10 by 10 grid with eight words that run only across and down, so they suit children from about age 6, when they can read short words. The bookmarks run across and down too.
The three hard puzzles are Fall Words, Why Leaves Change and Fall Fun. Each uses a 16 by 16 grid and hides eighteen words in every direction, backwards too. The four medium puzzles sit in between, with a 13 by 13 grid, twelve words and diagonals.
Each puzzle is a PDF with the puzzle on page 1 and the answer key on page 2. You get a US Letter file and an A4 file for every puzzle. Print at 100% so the letters stay large and easy to read.
Every fall puzzle has its answers on page 2 of the same PDF, with each word shaded where it hides. Print page 1 only if you want to keep the answers for yourself. Kids can also print both pages and check their own work.
